Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation Equipments


Job Description / Responsibilities:
 
  • Design of customized automation systems / Special Purpose Machine (SPM) design as per orders
  • Responsible for the quality of the design (Design mostly right at the first time), Technical Product Documentation and the definition of design rul class="boxlist"es
  • Determine specifications for materials, Mechanical & electrical components, construction and performance, including equipment speeds, tolerances, material handling techniques, etc. Meet time schedul class="boxlist"es and cost estimates on projects.
  • Sketch, design, and critique design work in Solidworks and AutoCAD, including machine systems, machine mechanisms, including sub-assemblies, tooling, framing structure, motors, drive components, control systems, sensors, and accessory devices. Consider factors such as ease of setup, changeover, maintenance & reliability
  • Perform accurate design calcul class="boxlist"ations with required parameters and good assumptions without chasing a whole lot of time
  • Generate Manufacturing drawings with GD & T.
  • Provide necessary interface with suppliers and cross functional groups for data


Educational & Technical Requirements:
 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with 6 to 9 Yrs of Work Experience in machine design & development.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of strength of materials, kinematics and dynamics, pneumatics, lead screws, cam devices, stepper/servo motors, drive systems, slide systems, sensor technologies and application, and machine control systems.
  • Hands on Experience in doing accurate design calcul class="boxlist"ations with required parameters and good assumptions.
  • Requires hands on experience in Solid works
  • Extensive Knowledge in manufacturing and machine shop capabilities
  • Competency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Reliability.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Tools

Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer – Onsite - Automation Equipments


Job Description / Responsibilities:

Onshore-Offshore Coordination
  • A bridge between Onsite and the India team for all the functional and technical coordination
  • Facilitate project kick-off meeting with internal team to build understanding of the client and project; set expectations with team based on individual development plans and course schedul class="boxlist"e
  • Facilitate interactions between the development, technical and media teams to ensure clear communications between all groups
  • Provide necessary interface with customers, suppliers and cross functional groups for data
  • Collaborate with team, peers and Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) via professional communication channels to maintain relationships
  • Review deliverables for completeness, compliance with standards, and consistency with the detailed design; prepare materials for manager review

Windchill PLM IT Analyst

 

Description:
 

  • The key responsibility of this position is to lead IT initiatives in the Product Lifecycle Management (Windchill). The PLM IT aspect is focused on Customization and Implementation of various workflows and functions for sustaining engineering processes.  


Job Description / Responsibilities:
 

  • Customize the existing PLM environment. Work along with the onsite and offshore teams for the customization of various workflows and functions for sustaining engineering processes.

    - Build Solution for custom features using Java and Windchill APIs
    - Customizations and configurations of Windchill OOTB
    - Conduct Functionality testing and write test cases and other deliverable documents
  • Guide developers on Custom features for completing development work


Technical Requirements:
 

  • 5-8 years of experience in Windchill Customization experience using Java, HTML, JSP, XML, etc. Must have worked on at least two major PDMLink (Windchill) implementations / customizations
  • Experience with formal project and testing methodologies; familiarity with system implementation standards
  • Strong experience in developing PDMLink (Windchill) workflows and Windchill configurations; experience in PDMLink (Windchill) business administration
  • Ability to communicate and work well in a cross-functional team environment and must have experience operating in an offshore/onsite model
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to change and new areas of focus.

    Master’s degree (or academic equivalent) in Engineering (any field) or closely related discipline and one year of experience in the job offered or in the related occupation of Mechancial Engineer or closely related occupation. Must have one year of experience with design in solid modeling, specifically with Solidworks; drawing and documenting on product design using ANSI standards; using GD&T for ANSI Y14.5.
